Samia Takes the National Stage: Celebrating a Jimmy Award Winner
Every once in a while, a moment comes along that reminds us why we do what we do.
This summer, that moment happened when Samia Posadas, student of Studio Founder Kaitlin Bertenshaw since she was twelve years old, was named a winner at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards® (The Jimmy Awards®). It is one of the highest honors a high school musical theatre performer can receive.
To say we are proud would be an understatement.
A Dream Years in the Making
Watching Samia perform on the stage of the Minskoff Theatre in New York City was an unforgettable experience. Her performance was filled with authenticity, joy, artistry, and incredible technical skill. But what audiences saw in those few minutes was the result of years of dedication, discipline, and hard work.
Success like this doesn't happen overnight.
It comes from countless voice lessons, acting coachings, dance classes, auditions, performances, setbacks, victories, and the willingness to keep learning every single day.
